What happens when I buy a ticket online?

When you buy a ticket online you’ll receive an order confirmation email that includes your unique Booking Reference Number and a barcode.You can then either print this ticket, or use your smart phone to present the bar code at the shop entrance, where your ticket will be scanned to permit entry. If neither of these options are available, you can always make a note of your booking number so we can enter it into our system to find your booking.

 

Do you issue refunds?

We regret that refunds cannot be offered in the event of cancellation or non-attendance. You can change your booking if you created an account at the time of booking. Please click here MY ACCOUNT to change your booking. Change of bookings are subject to a £5 admin fee

 

When are you open?

We are open 7 days a week from 9.30am-6pm. We are open until 8pm on Friday nights. We close at 1.30pm on Christmas Eve. We are closed for the period between Christmas and New Year.

*We will be closed on selected ondays throughout November for essential maintenance.

We will endeavour to reply to your email straight away however during busy periods this may be difficult. Please allow up to 24 hours for a response.

 

Is Car Parking available?

There is plenty of free parking at West Lodge Farm, including disabled parking spaces.

Is there wheelchair access?

Yes the immediate area of the farm park and animal paddocks has good access for wheelchair users.  The trails and walks further afield are mainly on grass and over uneven ground and do have some steps making access more difficult.

What forms of payment do you take?

We prefer contactless payment. We DO accept most major debit and credit cards and cash. We do not accept cheques. We do not have a cash machine on site.

Can I purchase a ticket in the shop on the day?

Yes you can however during busy periods we highly recommend pre booking. We have a limited capacity for everyones safety and when the capacity is reached we cannot allow any more entries.

Can I make group bookings?

Yes, just select the number of places that you need when booking.  For schools and larger groups please email forestschool@westlodgefarmpark.co.uk

What eating facilities do you have?

Do you allow picnics?

Yes – you are more than welcome to bring a picnic to eat outside or in one of our undercover picnic areas. Please note that we don’t allow your own food or picnics to be eaten in the The Rickyard Restaurant, The Udder Place or the Indoor Adventure barn.

Christmas Experience - What time should I arrive?

You must arrive at least 45 minutes before your booked time slot.  Please report to the Entrance Ticket Desk with your ticket and we will direct you to the activity. Each session will start promptly and unfortunately we cannot wait for late arrivals.

If your booking is for 9am we will allow entry to the farm park at 8.30am. Please arrive at the farm at this time so you are in plenty of time to start the Christmas Experience.

Friday Night Opening - what do I need to know?

Here are a few things you will need to know including timings for our Friday night later openings

  • Our last entry to the farm will now be at 6pm with the farm closing at 8.30pm
  • Last tee off on our new adventure golf is 7.15pm (£2 per person, under 3's free)
  • Walks and nature trails are open until 8pm, the farm is very different in the evening and the walks are the perfect place to relax and unwind ready for the weekend (well behaved dogs on leads are welcome)
  • Cuddle Corner and the Cloisters will close at 6pm however all of our outside animals including cows, pigs, goat, sheep and lambs are able to view and feed on the walks and trails
  • Our outdoor adventure play area and tractor park are open until 8pm
  • The Indoor Adventure Barn is open until 7.30pm (you will still need to pre book your session on arrival)
  • The Rickyard Restaurant is open until 8pm (last food orders 7.30pm) serving the best burgers in town! You can choose to sit inside and eat or outside on one of our picnic tables. We have a licensed bar available too.
  • We are currently still restricting numbers and you will need to pre book your ticket before you arrive. Walk ins will not be permitted until the government relaxes the rules - 21st June
Forest School Holiday Club - What time should I arrive?

Please arrive as close to 8.30am as possible – once everyone is present we will head to the Forest School site.

Do you sell annual passes?

Yes, a West Lodge Annual Pass givesyou access to the farm all year round and are available to buy online or at the Welcome Desk. Please click CLICK HERE for more information about the different types of passes and to purchase.

Can I add people to my booking?

You cannot add people to your existing booking. Please make a separate booking. If there is no availability during your time slot please choose the closest available time slot, we will allow you all to enter together.

 

Forest School Holiday Club - Do you accept childcare vouchers?

No, we do not accept childcare vouchers.

What is your definition of a carer?

We class a carer as a person over the age of 18 who, without payment (excluding benefits & allowances), provides help and support to an individual who is in receipt of Disability Living Allowance (DLA) or Personal Independence Payment (PIP). The term carer should not be confused with a care worker, foster carer or care assistant, who receives payment for looking after someone.

Forest School Holiday Club - What if my child has an allergy/dietary requirement or medical condition that I need to inform of?

Forest School Holiday Club - What do the children need to bring?

A list of suggested items is detailed on your booking confirmation, which will be sent to you once the booking process is complete.

What should I wear?

To make the most of the farm and walks we recommend that you bring wellies especially after wet periods. For your health and safety all people who play in the adventure playbarn MUST WEAR SOCKS. Any person not wearing socks will be asked to leave the area. Socks can be purchased from a member of staff.

 

 

Do you allow dogs?

Yes, very well behaved dogs on leads are allowed to the farm. Please note that dogs are not allowed in any of the children’s play areas (indoors and outdoors). Please remember your poop bags and take your dog waste home. Special assistance or guide dogs have access all areas.

What age is West Lodge Suitable for?

We think that people of all ages will get something from a visit to West Lodge Farm Park. We are a family visitor attraction so always encourage everyone to join in and have the best day ever! From June 2021 our new Adventure Golf will be opening which is perfect for keeping the teenagers entertained!

Do you sell animals?

Yes we do! We have a pet shop licence and we sell rabbits, guinea pigs and chickens. Please follow us on Facebook and Instagram to be kept up to date with when new animals become available. We tend to have chickens more or less throughout the year and rabbits and guinea pigs 3-4 times 

What activities do I need to pay for ?

There is a small extra charge for some of our activities that have a limited capacity and are subject to availability. These activities are available to book when you arrive at the farm park.

The extra charges are applicable to everyone including Annual Pass Holders
